CBX7 and central nervous system cancer: In gliomas, unsurprisingly, CBX7 and HDAC2 jointly address the CCNE1 gene promoter induced G1/S phase arrest, which is similar to the effect of CBX7 in liver cancer, and CBX7 also enhances the expression of DKK-1 by binding to the DKK-1 promoter, which is similar to the effect of CBX7 in breast cancer (Mansueto et al., 2010; Kim et al., 2015; Bao et al., 2017; Yu et al., 2017).
