Sharma et al. used a 3xTg-AD mouse model and found that early reduction of BVR-A protein levels is associated with reduced GSK-3β inhibition in the hippocampus, which is a key early event promoting Tau phosphorylation in Alzheimer's disease (Rockenstein et al., 2007; Sharma et al., 2019).
