This study demonstrates that miR-130-3p can suppress the proliferation of CRC cells both in vitro and in vivo, suggesting that miR-130-3p serves as an endogenous suppressor of CRC, possibly by downregulating WNT1 signaling and ensuing activation of oncogenic cyclin D1 and c-myc. The gene discussed is WNT1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
