To confirm that elevated lapatinib levels did not alter heart function we also quantified levels of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in sera of variously treated tumor-bearing mice and found that levels were lower in all test groups than those seen in positive control mice exposed to isoproterenol, which induces higher troponin I levels, strongly suggesting that heart function is normal in mice treated with lapatinib-loaded or non-loaded donor or hiPSC-platelets (Supplementary Fig. S7A).
