Sutherland et al. used quantitative immunohistochemistry to identify the associations between PRLR levels and time to bone metastasis, and they observed that PRL‐PRLR can accelerate bone metastasis in breast cancer and the PRLR overexpression in the primary breast tumour results in a shorter time to metastasis.13 The gene discussed is PRLR; the disease is breast neoplasm.
