CACNA1B and glioma: In our study, we found that voltage-gated calcium genes including Calcium Voltage-Gated Channel Subunit Alpha1 B (CACNA1B) (N-type calcium channel), Calcium Voltage-Gated Channel Subunit Alpha1 E (CACNA1E) (R-type calcium channel), and Calcium Voltage-Gated Channel Subunit Alpha1 I (CACNA1I) (T-type calcium channel) are significantly down-regulated in the gliomas compare with the normal brain tissue (Supplementary Figure 2), and the down-regulated expression of these three genes are strongly associated with the poor outcomes of the patients with gliomas (Figure 2A).
