Previous studies have reported that PSME1 is overexpressed in multiple cancers, including ovarian cancer (Lemaire et al., 2007; Longuespee et al., 2012), skin cutaneous melanoma (Wang et al., 2019), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (Zhang et al., 2011), and prostate cancer, suggesting that PSME1 could be a promising marker and therapeutic target for prostate cancer (Sanchez-Martin et al., 2013). This evidence concerns the gene PSME1 and ovarian carcinoma.
