The stress environmental factors like early life adversity would trigger the DNA methylation change (Provençal and Binder, 2015), and epigenome-wide association study (EWAS) have reported many genes that showed epigenetic changes in anxiety disorders, including CFAP46 (Ziegler et al., 2019), SLC43A2, and TNXB (Wiegand et al., 2021). Here, SLC43A2 is linked to anxiety disorder.
