ITGA2 and breast cancer: Therefore, in this study, we aim to dissect the functional role of N-glycan sites on integrin, with the focus on collagen-binding integrin alpha 2 (ITGA2), which has been recently shown to exhibit a multifaceted role in regulating cancer progression and metastasis in ovarian (Huang et al., 2020), melanoma (Baronas-Lowell et al., 2004), gastric (Matsuoka et al., 2000), colon (Bartolome et al., 2014), and breast cancers (Ramirez et al., 2011).
