Wu et al. showed that, among the genes that were nominated by bioinformatics analysis of the GSE97508 dataset, TRIM59 was significantly upregulated in three retinoblastoma cell lines compared with control; this gene plays an oncogenic role in retinoblastoma by activating the p38-MAPK signaling pathway (C. [53]). The gene discussed is TRIM59; the disease is retinoblastoma.
