Although the effect of IFN-γ on resistance has not yet been explored in pancreatic cancer, its role in inhibiting the growth of, as well as tumor-associated macrophage trafficking in, pancreatic cancer has already been established (Detjen et al., 2001; Zhang et al., 2020); thus, the aforementioned concept is worth exploring in PDAC and might be a successful strategy to improve the efficacy of radiation-based combinatorial regimens. The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
