Multiple factors were reported to be associated with uremic pruritus, like inadequate dialysis, hyperparathyroidism, elevated Ca-P product, xerosis, raised serum magnesium, and aluminum concentrations [15]. Other less significant associations are anemia, vitamin-A, beta-2 microglobulin levels [16], human leukocyte antigen (HLA) B35, congestive cardiac failure, neurological disorder, and ascites. This evidence concerns the gene B2M and congestive heart failure.
