Another globally shared region contains the F9 gene, which encodes the coagulation factor protein FIX and is involved in Hemophilia B. In this case, the F9 region harbours windows under positive selection in the 99.9th percentile reported by iHH12, and reflects a region that spans up to ∼50 kb (Supplementary Figure S4B). Here, F9 is linked to hemophilia B.
