A previous study has found that IL-17A (the founding member of the IL-17 family) levels were significantly increased in women with PCOS compared to healthy controls (p < 0.05) and that PCOS can be predicted by IL-17A at a cut-off value of 8.37 pg/mL with 44% sensitivity and 83% specificity in receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis (23). Here, IL17A is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
