High expression levels of enzymes involved in removing aldehydes, including Aldo-keto reductases (AKR1B10, AKR1C1-3) and Aldehyde dehydrogenases (ALDH1A1, ALDH3A1), were found to be associated with cisplatin resistance in various types of cancer patients including gastrointestinal, ovarian, bladder, NSCLC, and cervical cancer (Supplementary Table S1).
