Knockdown of PAX-interacting protein 1 (PAXIP1) or nucleosome remodeling factor CHD4 restored cisplatin resistance in BRCA2-deficient B lymphocytes and an ovarian cancer cell line via inhibition of recruitment of MRE11A and diminished degradation of replication forks, independent of HR [27, 28].
