There was a significant positive correlation (r = 0.9813, n = 20, p < 0.001) between glioma radiographic tumour burden and the magnitude of fold change of the CSF3 gene in the plasma samples of glioma patients (relative to the control group), see Fig. 6a; this association between the magnitude of fold change of the CSF3 gene in plasma and radiographic tumour burden persisted (r = 0.6078, n = 18, p = 0.007) despite the exclusion of the outliers, see Fig. 6b. The gene discussed is CSF3; the disease is neoplasm.
