Major et al. [13] reported that WTX, a protein encoded by a gene mutated in Wilms tumors, forms a complex with FBXW11, AXIN1, β-catenin, and adenomatous polyposis coli (APC), which promoted β-catenin ubiquitination and thus antagonizes the WNT/β-catenin signaling, in cultured human colon carcinoma cells, Xenopus, and zebrafish. The gene discussed is APC; the disease is Nephroblastoma.
