Further supportive to these results is the concomitant reduction in expression of GBM stemness markers (SOX2, NESTIN; Fig. 2c) caused by Par3 silencing, and the reciprocal increase in expression of astrocytic differentiation marker (GFAP) expression, but not neuronal marker (βIIITub, MBP), when GBM cells were cultured under physiological conditions that promote astrocyte differentiation (Fig. 2d).
