It has been shown that the inhibition of NF-κB and STAT3 in murine psoriasis models using benzo[b]thiophen-2-yl-3-bromo-5-hydroxy-5H-furan-2-one (BTH) [62] and inhibition of STAT3 in psoriasis patients using ochromycinone [63] is able to reduce psoriatic skin inflammation.
