COL1A1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: The injection of baicalin-induced MERTK+/hi M2c macrophages alleviates NAFLD through a possible mechanism involving the upregulation of serum HDL and the downregulation of NAFLD-associated genes in the liver and, therefore, decreases overall proinflammatory TNFα, the pro-fibrotic genes COL1A1 and FN, as well as the lipid regulator PPARɣ (as illustrated in Figure 7).
