The loss or inhibition of HDAC6 expression resulted in increased expression of let-7i-5p, which directly inhibited the tumor suppressor thrombospondin-1 (TSP1), suggesting that the HDAC6/let-7i-5p/TSP1 pathway mediated antitumor and phagocytic activities in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma [25].
