On the other hand, the mAb directed against the urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA) mU1 neutralized the progression of the disease both in the CIA and AIA models in mice, and the injection of mAbs against adiponectin (KH7-33 and KH4-8) can inhibit arthritic symptoms (arthritis index, squeaking index, and the volume of the paw) in the CIA mouse model; a slight decrease in the levels of TNF and IL-6 was also observed, but without a decrease in the expression of adiponectin. Here, PLAU is linked to arthritic joint disease.
