In prostate cancer, several approaches are under investigation to increase target expression levels, i.e., treatment with antiandrogen MDV3100 resulting in an increased uptake of radiolabeled PSMA-targeting antibody 64Cu-J591 [37], and, more importantly, treatment with enzalutamide enhancing PSMA expression and thereby improving survival in xenograft models upon combination with PSMA antibody drug conjugates [38]. The gene discussed is FOLH1; the disease is prostate cancer.
