Shogo et al. noted that knockdown of FABP5 induced a decrease in intracellular fatty acid levels; downregulation of genes involved in lipolysis, β-oxidation, and lipogenesis; and suppression of NFκB activity in the PC-3 prostate cancer cell line and M231 triple-negative breast cancer cell line [56]. This evidence concerns the gene FABP5 and prostate carcinoma.
