Notably, 9/10 of the female carriers of a RAD51B loss-of-function germline variant had a diagnosis of breast or ovarian cancer (5/2265 and 4/1157), for an odds ratio for breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility of 2.69 (95% CI: 1.4–5.3, p = 0.004; Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene RAD51B and ovarian cancer.
