Several preclinical studies have demonstrated that the concomitant use of MET inhibitors with osimertinib has the potential to overcome resistance in osimertinib-resistant EGFR-mutant NSCLC cell lines with MET gene amplification.56, 57, 58 Clinical experience in two patients suggested that combination of crizotinib, an ALK inhibitor with anti-MET activity, with osimertinib or erlotinib might overcome MET-mediated resistance.59, 60, 61. Here, ALK is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
