NPPB and cardiovascular disorder: Recently, in a 13-year follow-up of 8402 participants without cardiovascular disease, the multivariate Cox proportional hazards model revealed that a troponin T level ≥ 14 ng/L (HR: 1.96 (95% confidence interval: 1.57–2.46)) and NTproBNP level > 125 pg/mL (HR: 1.61 (95% confidence interval: 1.29–1.99)) were independent predictors of cardiovascular events [117].
