SERBP1 and cancer: High SERBP1 expression in glioblastoma multiform (GBM) is linked to poor patient outcome and response to therapy while in vitro and in vivo studies showed that expression levels of SERBP1 affect several related cancer phenotypes, stemness, neuronal differentiation and tumor growth (Koensgen et al., 2007; Serce et al., 2012; Costa et al., 2014; Wang et al., 2017; Kosti et al., 2020).
