Subjects in the vitamin D group had a higher rate of most concomitant diseases of interest, except for obesity, which was more frequent in the group without vitamin D. Regarding the laboratory parameters, the majority of the parameters (lymphocytes, C-reactive protein, interleukin 6, D-dimer, Blood lactate, PaO2, and PaO2/FiO2 Index) were higher in the vitamin D group, however, no statistically significant differences were observed between the groups, except for PaO2 where borderline differences were observed. Here, CRP is linked to Obesity.
