AKT1 and gastric cancer: In the present study, we found that gracillin inhibited AKT phosphorylation and cell proliferation in gastric cancer BGC-823 cells, and in the absence of TIPE2, gracillin exhibited a more obvious induction of TIPE2 expression and inhibition of AKT phosphorylation, demonstrating that gracillin maybe inhibit the gastric cancer cells via TIPE2-mediated AKT phosphorylation.
