Cox proportional hazards models showed that CD5L was an independent predictor of all-cause mortality (HR, 1.22; 95% CI, 1.01–1.48) after adjusting for CV risk factors such as age, sex, diabetes, waist circumference, smoking, systolic blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and CKD stage (Table 3). The gene discussed is CD5L; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
