In both models of PD, western blot analysis of the corpus striatum and nigra substance revealed that treatment with C16, Ang-1, and C16 plus Ang-1 restored the expressions of TH (Fig. 12a, b), CHAT (Fig. 12c, d), and Syn (Fig. 12e, f), and inhibited the expression of active caspase-3 (Fig. 12g, h), an enzyme involved in apoptotic cell death.
