IFNG and common variable immunodeficiency: In vivo, we found that patients with CVID with high serum bacterial DNA (defined as >90th percentile of healthy controls) had significantly higher same-day serum IFN-γ levels compared with those with lower serum 16S rDNA (mean IFN-γ 242.3 pg/mL vs. 169.7 pg/mL, respectively, P = 0.0258, Figure 5B).
