CSF3 and bacterial infectious disease with sepsis: The baicalein (Jang et al., 2019; Liang et al., 2019), necrostain-1 (Liu et al., 2015) and GCSF (Meshkibaf et al., 2016) treatments have all been shown to have a mitigating effect on intestinal inflammation, although the additional production of neutrophils stimulated by G-CSF may increase the numbers recruited to the injury site to help fend off bacterial infiltration and bacteremia.
