Previous studies have shown that the expression of BDNF protein in the lumbosacral spinal dorsal horn was increased in young mice with visceral hypersensitivity induced by neonatal separation [29], and the mRNA expression of BDNF in the hippocampus of IBS rats with visceral hypersensitivity was significantly higher than that in the normal control rats [30]. The gene discussed is BDNF; the disease is irritable bowel syndrome.
