Adjusting for maternal and neonatal characteristics, cord plasma FABP4 and testosterone concentrations were not significantly different between GDM and euglycemic pregnancies overall, while estradiol concentrations (49.0 ± 25.6 vs. 45.1 ± 23.6 ng/mL) were significantly higher in GDM pregnancies (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene FABP4 and gestational diabetes.
