Recent studies have reported upregulation and/or increased phosphorylation of PCK1 or PCK2 in different human malignancies, including colon cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), melanoma, and lymphoma, as well as metastatic breast cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [10–15]. This evidence concerns the gene PCK1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
