UCHL1 and cancer: Other family members such as PARK22 (CHCHD2), which plays an important role in the switch between catabolism and anabolism (Zacksenhaus et al., 2017), PARK7 (DJ-1), which is involved in ferroptosis (Cao et al., 2020), ubiquitination-related regulatory genes PARK15 (FBXO7) and PARK5 (UCHL1) (Goto et al., 2015; Teixeira et al., 2016; Liu et al., 2020), as well as PARK10 (USP24), which is related to cancer-associated acetylation (Wang et al., 2017).
