Given the role of T cell-mediated responses in the pathogenesis of PsO, implication of the LANCL2 pathway in regulating CD4+ T cell differentiation and function, and the reported efficacy and safety of omilancor in the treatment of complex autoimmune diseases such as IBD, we developed a topical formulation of omilancor to assess the therapeutic potential of topical pharmacological activation of LANCL2 in PsO. This evidence concerns the gene LANCL2 and autoimmune disease.
