Wu et al. demonstrated that methyl methanesulfonate (MMS) and UV-sensitive gene clone 81 (Mus81, a protein involved in the recognition and/or processing of certain types of DNA damage caused by UV and MMS) and STC2 both had cancer-promoting roles in HCC, which were co-expressed in HCC tissues [49]. This evidence concerns the gene MUS81 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
