The decrease of Fetuin-B correlates with improvement of estimates of obesity (BMI (r = 0.337; p = 4.2 × 10−5), fat mass (r = 0.281; p = 0.002), waist circumference (r = 0.262; p = 0.002)), ΔHSI (r = 0.179; p = 0.034), whole body (ΔHOMA-IR (Fig. 1A)) as well as adipose insulin sensitivity (ΔFFASupp (Fig. 1B)). The gene discussed is FETUB; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
