Subsequently, the regulatory effects of S100A8 and S100A9 on the proliferative ability of NPC cells were examined via EdU staining, and it was manifested that there was an evidently reduced number of red fluorescent cells in the siRNA group and a distinctly raised number of red fluorescent cells in the overexpression group (Figure 3(a)), also demonstrating that siRNA S100A8/S100A9 can repress the proliferation of NPC cells apparently.
