A review by Myasoedova et al. (49) showed that oxidized low density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL), oxidized phospholipids (Ox-PL), lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2), Lp(a), proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9), high density lipoprotein (HDL), the purinergic receptor 2Y2 (P2Y2R), sodium-dependent phosphate cotransporter (PiT-1), dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DDP-4) are targetable components for prevention and treatment of calcific AS in human. This evidence concerns the gene PLA2G7 and aortic valve stenosis.
