SIRT1 and myocardial infarction: In vivo transfection of KLF3-AS1 exosomes in rats, and in vitro incubation of hypoxic cardiomyocytes, also KLF3-AS1 exosomes, both confirmed that overexpression of KLF3-AS1 resulted in the reduction of myocardial infarction area and apoptosis, and KLF3-AS1 acted as an RNA sponge-miR-138-5p to mediate the expression of SIRT1, thereby regulating cardiomyocyte apoptosis and progression of myocardial infarction (Mao et al., 2019).
