In the ONCOMINE database, compared to normal tissue, the results showed that the expression of MMP14 was higher in the brain and central nervous system (CNS) cancer, BRCA, colorectal carcinoma, esophageal cancer, head and neck cancer, kidney cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and sarcoma (SARC) (Figure 1A). Here, MMP14 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
