SSTR5 and neoplasm: In particular, the lack of association between methylation in CpG4.3 and SSTR5/SSTR5‐AS1 expression in NP is intriguing and could suggest a differential regulatory role of this interaction in normal somatotropes, or a distinct contribution of the heterogeneous cell population comprising healthy pituitary tissue, compared to the monoclonal tumor somatotrope population comprising GH‐secreting tumors.
