Figure 2e shows that there are 32 pathways which are mainly altered in HPV-infected oral cancer and those p-value were compared with altered pathways of non-infected oral cancer (GEO datasets) pathways, it revealed that few of the pathways such as circadian entrainment, arginine and proline metabolism, butanoate metabolism, PI3K-AKT, cell cycle, TGF-beta, cAMP, neuro active ligand receptor interaction are highly altered in HPV-infected tumor than non-infected oral cancer which implies enhanced vulnerability of HPV infection in oral cancer. The gene discussed is PIK3CA; the disease is lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
