In the univariate analyses, as shown in Table 2, we found that malignant diagnosis in patients with thyroid nodules classified as Bethesda category III was significantly related to nodule diameter (p < 0.001), nodule goiter (p = 0.049), marked hypoechoicity (p < 0.001), margin (p < 0.001), shape (p < 0.001), microcalcification (p < 0.001), level of TGAb (p = 0.04), and A-TPO (p = 0.002), and nucleus grooves (p = 0.002). The gene discussed is TPO; the disease is thyroid nodule.
