VEGFA and angina pectoris: In addition, patients in the VEGF group reported less severe angina symptoms (CCS) compared to the baseline (1.9; 95% CI 1.3–2.5 vs. 2.9; 95% CI 2.7–3.1; P = 0.006), but there was also a trend of less severe symptoms in the controls (2.2; 95% CI 0.6–3.8 vs. 2.6; 95% CI 1.9–3.3; P = 0.414) (Fig. 2).
