The 70% inhibition of T cell recruitment by Miap410 Ab at peak disease in MOG-induced EAE was in line with our prior in vitro studies that Ab blockade of CD47 expressed in human or murine endothelial cells and in T cells, or mice genetically deficient in CD47 in an atherosclerosis model, exhibit significantly reduced T cell transendothelial migration (7, 17, 48). The gene discussed is MOG; the disease is atherosclerosis.
